Manchester United take on Southampton at Old Trafford tomorrow afternoon, with the Red Devils looking to bounce back from a tough Premier League defeat last time out.
Simply put, these are matches that United simply have to win. No ifs, buts or maybes. Three points here at home is an absolute must.
Erik ten Hag will want to avoid against complacency after a good result on Thursday, though I’d hope the mindset of those players who are out there will be a completely positive one.
The gaffer hasn’t really tended to rotate much, so we fully expect United to go with a familiar-looking starting line-up yet again here.
Anyway, let’s get right into the all-important team news for this encounter at the Theatre of Dreams.

David de Gea starts in between the sticks here as per usual, despite the fact his distribution was absolutely awful against Real Betis in midweek.
The back four, from right to left, will likely contain Aaron Wan-Bissaka in place of Diogo Dalot. Raphael Varane will partner Lisandro Martinez, with Luke Shaw getting the nod over in the left-back position.
Casemiro will play alongside his Brazil compatriot Fred, with the duo starting to form a good partnership at the heart of midfield. Bruno Fernandes starts in the number ten position. He’ll also wear the captain’s armband.
Wout Weghorst looked delighted when he netted in midweek, with the Dutchman set to start again here in the injury absence of Anthony Martial. However, the Frenchman is on the mend. To Weghorst’s right and left respectively is Antony and Marcus Rashford.
