Our predicted MUFC XI for a Premier League home game vs Spurs is now in…
Manchester United find themselves in a must win situation this weekend. Erik ten Hag needs to ease the pressure on himself, while this Red Devils side need to prove they can be a decent football team.
Tottenham Hotspur visit the Theatre of Dreams on Sunday afternoon, much like United, with a squad decimated by injuries and AFCON call-ups. It should make for a fun game, purely due to the fact that Ange Postecoglu will not change his attack-minded mantra, meaning this one should be very open.
The word on the street is that Sir Jim Ratcliffe will be in attendance, no doubt keeping a watchful eye on the team he grew up supporting as a boy.
Although United are due to get players back from injury, I don’t think we’ll see any of them start, particularly as they’ve been out for so long. Anyway, enough rambling from me, let’s give you the full run down of the starting side…
Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Spurs in full here:
Andre Onana will start in between the sticks after delaying his link-up with Cameroon. He needs to have a good game before he departs.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka plays at right-back, with the Englishman hoping to continue his good form. Diogo Dalot will continue to operate on the left-hand side of defence. Jonny Evans partners Raphael Varane at the heart of the back four.
Kobbie Mainoo has been a breath of fresh air since breaking into the side so let’s hope that trend plays out again here, with Scott McTominay sitting in alongside the young midfielder. Bruno Fernandes starts and captain’s the side.
Rasmus Hojlund will lead the line as per usual, with Alejandro Garnacho now playing off the right-wing. That allows Marcus Rashford to feel more comfortable off the left, though the pair can chop and change if needed in-game.
Come on lads!
