The confirmed MUFC XI for their game vs Villareal is now in, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer going strong.
Manchester United are in a mini-slup. The Old Trafford club have lost three in four across multiple competitions.
For me, the most concerning defeat came away at Young Boys. The Reds would concede late to succumb to a poor loss, though that can largely be placed on Aaron Wan-Bissaka who was sent off.
That double-header against Young Boys was supposed to be a guaranteed six points. Now, United have to make up that deficit elsewhere. Lose here in our second game and we’re in serious trouble.
With that in mind, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer cannot afford to rotate more than necessary. The team news is now in, with our gaffer going strong.
Check out the confirmed MUFC XI vs Villareal here:
David de Gea starts in between the sticks for the Old Trafford club, in a game where he’ll have to be at his absolute best.
The defence is significantly changed, but those are enforced ones. Diogo Dalot comes in for the banned Wan-Bissaka, while Alex Telles starts in place of the injured Luke Shaw. Raphael Varane does start, alongside Victor Lindelof, who again replaces an injured player in the form of Harry Maguire.
Scott McTominay sits at the midfield’s base, presumably with Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes just ahead of him. Yes, that’s right, Bruno is captain!
Cristiano Ronaldo leads the line in a game where we’re going to need him to continue his excellent scoring record against Villareal. To his right will be Mason Greenwood, while over on the left, Jadon Sancho gets a chance to make an impression from the off.
Let’s go lads!
