After a fortnight off due to the international break, our Red Devils are back! It’s time for our predicted MUFC XI vs Watford.
Manchester United Football Club return. The two weeks in-between games have been pretty painful due to the nature of our recent performances. Alas, I’m still delighted there’s now no international break for a fortnight.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side simply have to bounce back with a convincing victory here. There are no two ways about it. Drop points here and I’m not sure how the Baby Faced Assassin keeps his job.
I guess the good news about the international break is the fact that our squad has been struggling with injuries recently. It has given us some time to at least get one or two of those players back for this one – even if Paul Pogba and Raphael Varane are still pretty far away.
Anyway, let’s focus on the players that are fit to go, with the all-important team news now in.
Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Watford in full here:
David de Gea is probably the only player from last time out who deserves to keep his place within the side. He has been brilliant of late.
The back four has a pretty familiar feel, though I would personally like to see one or two changes made. Luke Shaw keeps his place, as does Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Our full-backs simply have to do better. Harry Maguire partners Victor Lindelof at the heart of our back four.
Scott McTominay should overcome an illness to take his place at the base of our midfield. We’re going to need an energetic outing from the Scotland international. Bruno Fernandes always plays when fit, with Donny van de Beek coming into the side in the midst of a midfield injury crisis.
Cristiano Ronaldo obviously leads the line, while Marcus Rashford looks assured of a start in this one. I’ve gone for Jadon Sancho over Mason Greenwood as this looks like a good opportunity to build some confidence for our number 25.
