MUFC play their final Champions League group game vs Young Boys later this evening, with our predicted XI now in.
After an excellent victory against Villarreal last time out, Manchester United have cemented their position as group winners in Europe.
This gives Ralf Rangnick an excellent opportunity to delve deeper into his squad to work out what sort of players he’s got on his hands.
United, though, will be plotting revenge. Young Boys stunned us in Bern back in September due to an Aaron Wan-Bissaka sending off. A win here would send out a message that this was just a one-off.
That said, I’m excited to see what sort of side we’re going to see from Rangnick here. While working out the manager’s thinking is still proving tough due to the fact that he’s only been in charge for one game. Anyway, let’s get right into it.
Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Young Boys in full here:

Dean Henderson is in line to play this one in between the sticks, which would only be his second start of the campaign. This presents a good opportunity for the Englishman.
The back four will welcome Aaron Wan-Bissaka back following injury, though he’ll have to greatly impress if he’s to usurp Diogo Dalot from the regular starting XI. Eric Bailly will come into the team, too, with Victor Lindelof and Alex Telles keeping their places.
I’ve gone for Scott McTominay over Fred here, purely because the Brazilian deserves a rest following the brilliant week he’s had. This presents a good chance for Nemanja Matic to impress the new boss, too.
Donny van de Beek feels like a certainty to start here. Again, with a chance to prove his worth, while Anthony Elanga is someone who will definitely get better under Rangnick.
There’s no real reason to risk Cristiano Ronaldo here, so he’ll drop to the bench in place of Mason Greenwood. Fellow homegrown hero Marcus Rashford will start up top.
