Predicted Starting XI: Arsenal vs United

Robin van Persie will be returning to the Emirates as a Champion tomorrow in an experience that will probably contain mixed feelings for the Dutch Striker. Whether he’ll start or not and receive a guard of honour is another matter.

I think he’ll be rested tomorrow. There is no need to put him through the emotion of it all as the title is now wrapped up and the Golden Boot is as good as finished too. Lets hope theres a respect between the Arsenal fans and Robin tomorrow, although I massively doubt it.

Arsenal will be without the banned Olivier Giroud so Podolski may get the chance up top, with Theo Walcott probably having to settle for a spot on the wing. The Arsenal back four is fairly slow, so if we opt for the pace of Danny Welbeck, coupled with the mazy runs of Javier Hernandez, we could cause them a lot of problems.

I’ve stuck with the diamond again here and I’ve also left Rooney in midfield alongside Tom Cleverley. Kagawa deserves a start in his favoured spot for me, with Michael Carrick dropping deeper.

Hopefully we’ll see some youngsters coming off the bench to gain some vital experience. Players like Nick Powell, who could well be a regular first team member next season would be the types of players I expect to feature.

My prediction: Arsenal away is never easy, i’ll go for a 2-2 draw with Danny Welbeck getting a goal.
