Manchester United are just one game away from a place in the Champions League proper, with Club Brugge standing in their way. Louis van Gaal’s men have a 3-1 lead from the first leg, and it’d take a calamitous performance if the red devils weren’t to qualify from this point.
Club Brugge didn’t bring an awful lot to the table at Old Trafford but somehow snuck a goal in fortunate circumstances when Michael Carrick stabbed the ball behind Sergio Romero – but from that point on United were in control.
I don’t expect to see many changes from that game. Bastian Schweinsteiger will probably get a rest with Michael Carrick coming back into the fold. Also I’d like to see Ashley Young return to action as he hasn’t featured since the opening day of the Premier League season.
Wayne Rooney will probably continue up front as Louis van Gaal will be keen to see him get a goal to boost his confidence, but I wouldn’t be wholly surprised to see Marouane Fellaini given the nod up top back in his home country.
