Manchester United need just four points from their remaining three fixtures to secure a spot in the Champions League for next season. Three points against Palace tomorrow would go an awfully long way to securing our rightful place in Europe’s elite competition.
Louis van Gaal still has work to do, and that starts with picking the starting line-up for a potentially tough evening away at Selhurst Park.
However his selection problems were made a lot easier with the return of Phil Jones and Luke Shaw. Those two returning means that Daley Blind can shift back into midfield, allowing our top scorer Wayne Rooney to lead the line up front.
I’d also like to see a bit more pace introduced on the counter attack. This would be the perfect game for Angel di Maria to come back into the side and show the world that he has an awful lot to offer Manchester United Football Club.
The rest of the team is pretty much unchanged.
Starting XI
De Gea; Valencia, Jones, Smalling, Shaw; Blind, Herrera, Fellaini; Di Maria, Young, Rooney.
