Predicted Starting XI: Liverpool vs Manchester United (Europa League)

Manchester United face their biggest European tie in their recent history tomorrow, with the first game of a two legged tie against Liverpool taking place. Louis van Gaal has plenty of selection dilemmas on his hands, especially with players coming back from injury.

The first name on the team sheet will obviously be David de Gea, and he’ll have the usual back two of Chris Smalling and Daley Blind sitting in front of him. Guillermo Varela simply has to come back into the side at right-back, with Marcos Rojo continuing as the left-back.

Michael Carrick will move back into midfield alongside Morgan Schneiderlin in a more defensive setup, with a interchangeable front four ahead of them. Juan Mata should be fresh after his sending off, he’ll have Anthony Martial and Memphis Depay to the right and left of him respectively, with young Marcus Rashford continuing as the lone striker.

Predicted Starting XI

De Gea; Varela, Smalling, Blind, Rojo; Carrick, Schneiderlin; Depay, Mata, Martial, Rashford.
