Manchester United Football Club take on West Bromwich Albion this weekend, with Louis van Gaal’s side looking to back up a solid home victory against CSKA Moscow with a much-needed three points in the Premier League.
Team selection is obviously crucial, and I don’t expect many changes to be made from the side that secured the European victory.
Matteo Darmian is suspended and he’ll miss the match, that leaves the right-back slot open for some debate. Ashley Young is probably the favourite for the spot, but he didn’t look all that convincing there in previous performances.
A midfield duo of Michael Carrick and Bastian Schweinsteiger lacks mobility, but they have creativity in abundance and their ability on the ball is world class.
Wayne Rooney will start the game up front, with Anthony Martial once again resulted to a spot on the wing.
Predicted XI
De Gea; Young, Smalling, Jones, Rojo; Carrick, Schweinsteiger; Mata, Herrera, Martial; Rooney.
