The Premier League is finally here, and for Manchester United a new era begins for the second time in two years. The year under David Moyes couldn’t have gone any worse, and the lack of Champions League football will really hurt when the group stage draw takes place in the not too distant future.
However, Louis van Gaal is here now, and thinks are finally looking up. Manchester United finished pre-season unbeaten, and the arrivals of Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera were much-needed. The only downer is the fact that no other new arrivals have followed the aforementioned duo, but hopefully we’ll see at least a couple of new faces before the window slams shut in a couple of weeks.

De Gea; Smalling, Jones, Blackett; Young, Herrera, Fletcher, Rafael; Mata, Rooney, Hernandez.
