Predicted Starting XI: Real Madrid vs. United

The Champions League knockout stages are now underway, and unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few months you’ll know that the tie of the round sees us take on Spanish giants Real Madrid. This is our biggest European tie for what seems like an age, and Wednesday night cannot come quick enough.

Fergie vs. Mourinho, Ronnie vs. his old United teammates, United vs. Real Madrid. These are the kind of games that makes football what it is today, two european giants facing off over two games of football that promise so much. Lets all hope it lives up to the high expectations.

Predicted a starting XI for this one is quite difficult, its hard to tell how he is going to set up, but I reckon it’ll be something similar to Man City away back in December.

Jordan’s predicted XI

  1. for me the aim is to get advantage for second leg in OT, my team for tonight DDG, Rafa, Rio, Vida, Evra, Tony, Jones, Carrick, Shinji, Rooney, RvP ……. Rooney will be the key for counter attack, because I think he will play deeper and then must move quick when attacking build up
