European knockout football returns on Tuesday night and it couldn’t get any bigger for Manchester United as they host the current best team in the world; Bayern Munich. The Red Devils will be hoping to find inspiration from that famous night back in 1999 where the impossible was made possible on that night in Barcelona.
David Moyes kept his cards very close to his chest in his pre-match press conference today, but admitted that he is seriously considering giving Shinji Kagawa a start after an excellent performance at the weekend. We have some defensive options returning at a good time, too. With Jonny Evans and Chris Smalling both returning to training.
Predicted XI
De Gea; Jones, Vidic, Ferdinand, Buttner; Carrick, Fellaini, Giggs; Valencia, Welbeck, Rooney.

I would rather pick Evans in place of Rio or Vidic, two together will make it too slow and too easy for the likes of Robben. I would definetly play Kagawa in place of Valencia

i know for a fact my team would never play, cus carrick is a sure starter… which is a terrible idea! i would never choose this to be evans first match back after injury…. asking for trouble… and i would never play rio and vidic… experience yes…. but they are nowhere near top form to cope with bayern.

if we want to stop bayerns atacking threat…. there is no better way than to plan to attack. we have to be a better team, not allow bayern to be able to play their game. focus on how to defend… were lambs for the slaughter, we have to take a risk and attack, and score!! we can do it.
Need someone who can deal with Ribery pace at right back
rafael got speed…. become too lazy recently to actually try tackle though and favours giving away fouls… but i honestly believe he performs a lot better with valencia there to support him. valencia gives good support, and helps bring the best out of rafaels attacks. buttner… we will have to see. but i honestly see him as less of a liability than rafael
jones has to be in the middle, at the moment hes one of our best, but he definitely isnt at his top form. i would like to see jones paired with smalling, but second best option is vidic.
i just really dont want carrick in the midfield. all this hate on cleverley should actually be on carrick. this season carrick has been worse than useless.
Rafael has no chance vs Ribery
And i agree that we play either rio OR nemanja but not both
Last, champions league match against,Bayern , it was when Rafael was taken out, that Ribery was seen remember? So i think Rafael can stop him.
