The last time these two sides met was almost two years ago in the Capital One Cup, when a certain Wilfried Zaha helped Crystal Palace to a 2-1 extra time victory over United. Tomorrow they’ll meet again in the Barclays Premier League, and there is a strong possibility that Wilfried Zaha could make his United against his former club.
David Moyes has only used thirteen different starters in his opening three Premier League games, and with the Champions League game coming up midweek it makes it harder to predict the starting XI for this one.
Marouane Fellaini could also be set for his Manchester United debut after his deadline day move, and Moyes will be hoping the big Belgian can hit the ground running.
Players such as Shinji Kagawa, Nani, Evans, Chicharito and the aforementioned Wilfried Zaha are all in contention for their first league starts under Moyes, all of which featured for their countries throughout the international break.
Predicted starting XI
De Gea; Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra; Carrick, Fellaini; Nani, Kagawa, Welbeck; Van Persie
