Predicted Starting XI: United vs Liverpool (Capital One Cup)

North West rivals Manchester United and Liverpool will meet for the second time in a matter of weeks tomorrow, as the two sides will battle it out for a place in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup. Luis Suarez will be available for selection after his ten game ban for biting, and Robin van Persie is also expected to be fit following a minor groin injury.

Its hard to work out how both sides will line up for this one. Will Rodgers go strong in the hope of winning a trophy? Or will Moyes rest his big names after the abysmal result at weekend? For me, I think it’ll be a mixture of first-teamers and squad players for both sides, as its a game neither wants to lose.

Predicted starting XI

Lindegaard; Rafael, Evans, Vidic, Buttner; Anderson, Cleverley; Nani, Kagawa, Januzaj; Rooney

On paper that looks like an excellent team. I’d love to see Adnan Januzaj start on that left-hand side, but I’d also love to see some Wilfried Zaha. I cannot see Moes going for both from the off though, so hopefully we’ll see Zaha off the bench.
