The first United match of 2014 is a potentially tricky one, as United host a Tottenham Hotspur side currently enjoying a new lease of life given to them by new manager Tim Sherwood. Both sides will be looking to kick-off the New Year in style, however both will be without key players.
United are probably going to be without Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie, plus the defensive duo of Phil Jones and Rafael da Silva. Spurs on the other hand will be without Paulinho, Jan Vertonghen, Andros Townsend and Jermain Defoe.
