Predicted Starting XI: United vs Swansea

Every one of those lads will be chomping at the bit for a spot in that starting line-up today, as it’ll be Sir Alex’s last starting line-up at Old Trafford. I think its safe to say legends like Giggs and Scholes will certainly start. It’ll be a bittersweet day for all United fans, with the trophy presentation at the end of the match.

The boss will receive a Guard of Honour from the players today, with ‘The Impossible Dream’ (Sir Alex’s favourite song) playing in the background. That’ll be the first of many potentially teary moments for the United faithful today.

Arguably Fergie’s best ever centre-back pairing should get the nod today. Vidic and Ferdinand have been a rock at the back for more than five years now, and it’d be fitting if those two both start today.

With it being Scholes’ last home game he will surely start for sentimental reasons. He’s always been known as the quiet one, and how suited to him that he announces his retirement that will probably go under the radar due to Fergie.

I hope Kagawa starts in the number 10 role today in place of Wayne Rooney, who could well be off in the summer.

Van Persie must start up top, he’s won us title #20 so he deserves that moment of glory.

It’d also be nice to see Adnan januzaj come on as a substitute today as Fergie’s last ever youth player to make a first-team debut. Big things are expected of the young Belgian.

Score prediction: United 2-1 Swansea
