Aaron Wan-Bissaka is attracting interest aplenty this summer, with West Ham once again keen on signing the right-back.

Manchester United are looking to raise some additional transfer funds for Erik ten Hag to spend this summer by selling some fringe players.

Yesterday, we covered claims suggesting that a quartet of Reds were made available for transfer – including Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The right-back has been heavily linked with an exit already this summer, with Galatasaray thought to be keen on signing Wan-Bissaka.

Over the last 24 hours, The Times have offered fresh information on the future of the Englishman, with West Ham once again keen on acquiring Wan-Bissaka.

Apparently, the Premier League side have ‘revived their interest’ in signing the United star, who has now been deemed ‘surplus to requirements’ at Old Trafford, by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

It always felt like Wan-Bissaka was never the perfect fit for Ten Hag, though to his credit, the full-back has always delivered when called upon. Take this season for example. United struggled mightily in the full-back position as injuries hit the club hard. Wan-Bissaka always stepped up to the plate and performed admirably.

That said, when everyone is fit, Wan-Bissaka will not be starting games. Diogo Dalot was named United’s Player of the Year this season and he is a right-back by trade. Over on the left, Luke Shaw is one of the best in the business when at 100% peak fitness.

While it would be sad to see Wan-Bissaka leave, I’d understand the sale due to the fact he only has one year left on his current deal. It’s certainly better to receive some sort of transfer fee back for a man the club paid £50m to acquire under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

I also wouldn’t be against keeping Wan-Bissaka for another year, assuming the offers received do not meet United’s valuation.
