Premier League legend full of praise for criticised Manchester United starlet

Manchester United and Chelsea played out an exciting 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge yesterday afternoon, with the highlight of the game being a fantastic finish by Jesse Lingard, who has come in for criticism from large portions of the fans over recent weeks.

The 23-year old has looked scared to go at his marker during the last few games, but yesterday he was back to his best, and that was summed up perfectly by the strike midway through the second half.

One of the best ever Premier League players, Thierry Henry, was full of praise for the Warrington-born winger, and he was clearly impressed with his goal.

“It’s nothing to do with luck. Lingard scored a great goal with a great finish.” Thierry Henry said.

Hopefully Lingard can really push on from here. Louis van Gaal clearly has a lot of faith in the young man, and its now time for him to step up and show everyone exactly what he is capable of.
