Private jet from Madrid lands at Manchester airport as Morata speculation continues: report

If you believe reports, Manchester United Football Club could well be closing in on a deal that could see Alvaro Morata make the move to Old Trafford. It seems clear that the Red Devils will be chasing a new striker, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic not given a new contract.

Today, rather interestingly, the Manchester Evening News wrote that last night, a private jet from Madrid landed at Manchester airport. They even have a picture of the flight path as you can see below.

Although the media outlet stop short of naming Alvaro Morata directly, you’d figure that it is the Spanish striker that they are hinting at. The MEN also post a disclaimer, stating that the last time they reported a private jet flying into Manchester, it was Henrikh Mkhitaryan arriving from Germany – with the man from Armenia signing just six days later.

The flightpath of the jet.

In the modern age of social media, these kind of updates are relatively new – alongside it when footballer’s social media activity is also treated as transfer news.

At the end of the day, this could mean something but alongside that, it could also mean absolutely nothing – and that is probably why the MEN don’t name any player in particular. In my opinion, they are taking an educated guess and it’s nothing more than that.
