Paris Saint-Germain are confident that they can beat Manchester United to the signature of Fulham wonderkid, Ryan Sessegnon.
That’s what the Daily Express says, following the immensely gifted 17-year-old being named as the Championship Player of the Season just last week.
Predominantly a left-back, Sessegnon has been simply sensational in England’s second tier, although he has the ability to play all across the left-hand side, which would be a great bonus for the eventual buyer of the Englishman.
Along with United and PSG, the report reckons that Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have also shown an interest in landing Sessegnon, which tells you everything you need to know about how insanely talented he is.
Perhaps the major stumbling block could be Fulham’s asking price, as the Cottagers are valuing the teenager at around the £50million mark. His fifteen goals is a mightily impressive tally. You could argue that he’s almost single-handedly given his side a chance at Premier League promotion, which would be huge for his current side.
Honestly, if Fulham do find their way into the Premier League, I’d probably urge him to stay there for at least another season. I’m not sure he’d be able to get into the United team straight away, but who knows, as Luke Shaw seems to have absolutely no hope.
