I think it’s fair to say that Alexis Sanchez’s time at Manchester United has been rather disappointing to date. The 29-year-old Chilean has struggled for consistency in his play, even though we have seen glimpses of his ability.
Since his move from Arsenal, things for the club have gone downhill. It not only stunted both Anthony Martial’s and Marcus Rashford’s development, but the overall results have also taken a turn for the worst, too… However, it seems as though the #7 could be about to be offered a way out.
According to The Sun, big-spending Paris Saint-Germain are prepared to make their move for him when next summer rolls around. Apparently, PSG were keen last January when United eventually won his signature, but seemingly, the Ligue 1 giants haven’t been put off by the sub-par performances.
Honestly, at this point, it feels like a no-brainer to let him leave. Not only would it get his hefty wage demands off the books, but it’d also give more playing time for young up-and-comers like the aforementioned Martial and Rashford.
Sometimes, it’s better to just admit that a move didn’t work out and move on from it sooner rather than later. Perhaps this is one of those instances, and the sooner this relationship ends, the better it’ll be for everyone.
