Pundit: I’m sick of this Manchester United star

Manchester United have been hit and miss to start the season. That’s also the perfect description of Paul Pogba’s form since his return to Old Trafford.

We’ve seen glimpses of what the midfield maestro is able to do, however, he’s been nowhere near consistent enough under Jose Mourinho.

Whether that’s due to a fractured relationship between the pair remains to be seen, but the Frenchman hasn’t been anywhere near his best. That’s a major cause for concern.

Imagine our surprise when a player who we’ve constantly backed for two years comes out and flirts with possibly moving away? That’s not going to do him any favours whatsoever. In fact, all he’s doing is further endearing us to the man he presumably is trying to outlast in Manchester.

Now pundit Craig Burley has weighed in on the situation. He too is getting fed up with the mercurial Frenchman.

“I’m a bit sick of Paul Pogba’s positioning on this,” Burley told ESPN, per the Daily Star.

“Whether he’s got issues with Mourinho or not, I don’t care, but he’s a clever guy.

“People say he’s been asked the question but bat it off and talk about other things.

“But he continues to fuel the fire. He continues to fuel the fire by making statements, whether they’re coming from him or via his agent I don’t know.

“But I just think, you’re employed by United, you’ve got a coach under pressure.

“I’m fed up of him making these comments.

“I don’t like it anymore.”

As the old saying goes, nobody is bigger than the club. Pogba, at this point, clearly thinks otherwise. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure he’d do great at an FC Barcelona as the style suits him perfectly.

If the right offer comes in, I wouldn’t be against moving him on. If he doesn’t want to be here, why should we continue to support and back him? Drop him for a game or two and see how he likes it.
