Man United could welcome back two key players for the game against Brentford later today.
It’s fair to say that Manchester United’s form over the last few months has been nothing short of diabolical.
Right now, this side is majorly underachieving in every sense of the word. Ralf Rangnick has only been given limited time to change the attitude within that dressing room. It remains to be seen whether the squad want to strive to make that positive switch.
At this stage, games are coming thick and fast with very little time in between matches to implement tactics. Though having a full complement of players to choose from definitely helps.
Ahead of our next game vs Brentford, Ralf Rangnick believes that a key duo could make their return from injuries; Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford.
“Cristiano and Marcus were training yesterday, so we will train today,” Ralf told the media, including ManUtd.com. “But in the press conference before the Villa game, I was also convinced Cristiano would be available and he wasn’t.
“So we have to wait for the training session today in an hour’s time. I think they both could be available.”
Both missed our last game against Aston Villa due to different issues, with Ronaldo emerging as a late doubt for that one despite training the day prior.
Ronaldo’s stature and presence alone has him as an undroppable player when fit. Let’s be honest, he’s the on-field leader of this squad and he definitely sets the example. Contrary to belief in some sections of the media, we’re a better side with him in it.
As for Rashford, his form has been a major concern of late. There’s no doubting his natural ability and talent. I just believe he needs to rediscover his confidence and the performance levels will improve shortly thereafter.
Either way, it’s good to have these two guys back available for selection for a massive Premier League game.
