Raphael Varane looks to be fit and ready to go vs Tottenham Hotspur today.
Manchester United simply have to bounce back. There are no two ways about it. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s job is hanging on by a thread and the tasks definitely come easier than a trip to Tottenham Hotspur.
The Baby Faced Assassin has often done well when under immense pressure and no doubt the Norwegian is hoping for a similar story to play out here.
One thing is for certain. We have to do better defensively. Far too many needless goals have been shipped of late, which has been the main reason behind our struggles.
Anyway, United have been given an injury lift in that regard, with one key star spotted with the travelling squad. That man, of course, is Raphael Varane, with the news coming from the Manchester Evening News.
Check out the photo of Raphael Varane with the United squad here:
Varane had missed United’s last few games with a groin injury he picked up while away on international duty with France. But, the good news is he’s now back and looking ready to go.
He was just starting to form a nice partnership with Harry Maguire at the heart of our defence before the last international break. I’d imagine the pair will be re-united at White Hart Lane this evening.
Hopefully, he’s feeling as close to 100% as possible and we get to see more of the Varane that was absolutely cruising through games before his injury. I think it’s common knowledge that he’s now our best centre-half despite only playing a handful of games for the Old Trafford club.
Whether or not this side is equipped enough to stop Harry Kane and the likes from scoring today is another question entirely. However, we have to remain hopeful.
Welcome back, Rapha!
