Rashford admits he was ’embarrassed after Liverpool loss

Marcus Rashford has sent a message to the fans after Man United suffered humiliating defeat to Liverpool.

Let’s be honest, it’s going to take time for us all to put that horrendous Liverpool result out of our minds. No doubt our North-Western rivals will remind us of this game at every opportunity, too…

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s job is hanging on by a thread after that game. The dressing room is definitely hurting. It’s up to those players to put it right against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend. Though it goes without saying, it’s not going to be easy…

One player who likely feels it more than most is Marcus Rashford. The Englishman has been a Red Devils fan his whole life. He feels the pain like each and every one of us.

Normally, he’s the first to apologise to the fans in the aftermath of a bad result. This time around, it took United’s number ten a little longer to break his silence.

Late last night, the United star has sent a heartfelt message to the fans after that humiliating loss.

Check out Marcus Rashford’s tweet here:

As he says, I don’t doubt the players are doing their utmost to fix this and put it right next time out. However, I do start to wonder whether the current manager has gotten the most out of these players.

Although Rashford will be fighting for Solskjaer, I believe others have already downed tools and are looking forward to a new regime.

Solskjaer is a manager who has stood the tallest when the pressure is on. Will he be able to do that this weekend? We’ll have to wait and see.

Rashford is one of Solskjaer’s most trusted players so I reckon it’s a given he’ll start this weekend. With a couple of goals under his belt already, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him bag another this weekend.

Does Marcus Rashford deserve a start vs Spurs this weekend? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
