Rasmus Hojlund has been spotted back in training for Man United following his injury.
Manchester United Football Club have only scored a couple of goals in their opening two Premier League matches, with a failure to put the ball in the back of the net leading to dropped points.
Erik ten Hag’s side have looked better for the most part, though they need that lethal finisher who only requires one chance to score. In the first two games, there has been no recognised striker starting games, with Bruno Fernandes playing as a false nine instead.
It’s largely due to Rasmus Hojlund’s injury absence. The Dane picked up a problem in pre-season against Arsenal, ruling him out for about six weeks. We’re now a little over the four-week mark from when the former Atalanta man picked up the issue.
However, progress seems to be being made. United have been boosted by the return to training of the key man, who was spotted back out on the field doing some individual work. The official club website also shared a fitness update.

It seems like Hojlund was only doing some individual work, rather than being involved in the main group. However, after the Liverpool game this weekend, United then have a fortnight before their next game. That will help the striker regain fitness.
Perhaps the international break does come at a good time for United here, as they do need that out and out forward who can lead the line and stretch opposing defences.
With Joshua Zirkzee proving that he’s not a proper number nine, the need for Hojlund to get fit, and then stay fit, is greater than ever.
