Man United have given Rasmus Hojlund a new number, with the Dane set to wear the number 9 this season.
Manchester United Football Club’s preparations for the 2024/25 season are now well underway. The Old Trafford side are looking to build on from their FA Cup victory back in May.
The pre-season tour of the US starts this weekend, as we gear up towards some huge games, albeit friendly matches.
Before that, there is some housework to take care of – including a new number for Rasmus Hojlund.
With Anthony Martial now out of the picture, the iconic number 9 was up for grabs.
United have now confirmed that the Dane will wear that number this coming season. Shortly after the confirmation, Fabrizio Romano released a photo of Hojlund all-smiles with his new jersey number, as he gears up for the new campaign.

Hojlund had a solid debut campaign, scoring 16 goals across all competitions, as he began to familiarise himself with his new surroundings. A purple patch around Christmas time was a real joy to watch.
Now comes the pressure of wearing arguably the most iconic shirt number in United history.
This also means Joshua Zirkzee will not be given the number nine this season, while the number 11 is now free. Possibly for Alejandro Garnacho…?
Congratulations on the new number, Rasmus!
