Rasmus Hojlund is loving life at Manchester United, putting in an outstanding performance against Brentford over the weekend.

Manchester United Football Club put in a pretty decent performance over the weekend, while it’s clear the players are still firmly behind Erik ten Hag.

The Dutch manager will be feeling like he still has a fighting chance for as long as the dressing room is standing behind him, while a 2-1 victory over Brentford certainly eases the pressure somewhat.

A come-from-behind victory was sealed by Rasmus Hojlund, with the Dane now returning to fitness following a lengthy injury lay-off.

After the match, Hojlund spoke glowingly about United’s performance on the whole, before admitting that he is ‘living the dream’ playing for the Red Devils.

You just get the feeling that he still views United as a fan just like me and you, rather than an employee of the club. Perhaps that’s why he always come across so well.

Check out what Hojlund had to say in full here:

“The performance from the team was very good today. It was an unlucky goal from Brentford, but we showed great resilience and showed what a team we are.” Hojlund told the media, including Manchester World.

“Every time you win and the forwards score goals, it gives a lot of confidence to the team. But in the end, it’s about winning and I think that’s what we need to focus on. I’m very pleased with the three points today.”

“I’m living the dream every day. I’m playing for Manchester United, and having the no.9 on the back for Manchester United, it’s a good life.

Hojlund has looked sharp since his return, giving United’s attack that little bit of extra bite and potency. He works hard and sets the tone for the rest of the front line, with the Red Devils looking far more aggressive and competitive with him starting.

The Dane has earned that number nine shirt on his back and if he can now stay injury free, he’s a player that has the potential to lead the attack for United over the next decade. He just has to keep developing and growing as a footballer, slowly but surely adding new elements to his game.

With Ruud van Nistelrooy working with him every single day in training, I don’t doubt that Hojlund will continue to improve. Be it learning new finishing techniques, or studying up to become more tactically astute, I fully believe that Hojlund is eager to learn and grow.
