According to Hammers boss Sam Allardyce, 20-year old attacking midfielder Ravel Morrison could make a shock return to Old Trafford. The England U21 international didn’t have the best of starts to his career in Manchester due to living in a troubled area and getting involved with the wrong crowds.
He was often late for training, and sometimes he didn’t turn up at all, but Sir Alex Ferguson claimed that he just had to get out of Manchester. Eventually, a fee of around £1m was agreed between United and West Ham, and the troubled teen made his way down South.
Things didn’t start smoothly for Morrison in his new life, though. He found himself out of the West Ham side and never really looked threatening to breaking into the first-team fold. He completed a loan move to Birmingham in 2012 which probably saved his career. The youngster went on to make 30 appearances for Birmingham, scoring three times.
This year the starlet has started to show glimpses of the player we all thought he could be, and has featured in six of West Ham’s Premier League games so far. After scoring that sensational goal away at Tottenham last week, big clubs were always bound to take an interest in Ravel.
United earn £25,000 every time Morrison plays for West Ham, and Sam Allardyce isn’t sure whether United have a buyback option.
“I don’t know if there is a buy-back clause and what that figure might be if it even exists. But my real big worry is that Manchester United will come back to buy him.”
He has a £20million buyout clause in his contract, but if he continues to keep progressing that may turn out to be a snip.

Well you managed to mess him up once, why not have another go?
