Real Madrid could offer three players in Paul Pogba deal: report

Paul Pogba will always divide the fans. To be honest, I expected better from the Frenchman during his three-year stint at Old Trafford so far…

Whether he stays at Manchester United beyond this summer is up for debate – although the latest report from The Sunday Times is rather concerning if you want Pogba to remain a Red Devil.

They say that Real Madrid see a deal to sign Pogba this summer as ‘really possible’, although Florentino Perez is keen to avoid a straight-up cash payment.

Instead, the Real president wants to include players in the deal, with three top performers being considered. Those guys are Gareth Bale, Keylor Navas and James Rodriguez…

The article states that ideally, Bale will be included as he isn’t a part of Zinedine Zidane’s plans at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Perez using the aforementioned trio as bait.

Personally, I think if the right cash offer came in to United then they’d have to consider it due to how inconsistent Pogba has been since moving to Old Trafford.

Honestly, though, none of the three players who Real want to include really appeal to me. Navas isn’t as good as David de Gea, James Rodriguez’s club career never really took off as expected while Gareth Bale is constantly injured.

It’s a tough decision for Edward Woodward and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer because Pogba is clearly a talented footballer. He just doesn’t show it anywhere near enough and that’s becoming a major problem…
