The news Manchester United fans haven’t wanted to read for quite some time is finally here. One of Spain’s big two clubs are in for David de Gea, according to the usually reliable Spanish media outlet Marca. They reckon that Real Madrid are in for our young shot-stopper, and go as far as saying that De Gea himself is keen on the idea.
De Gea’s contract runs out in 2016, and it is thought that he isn’t worried about the situation at all. The 23-year old has turned from a Premier League flop, to one of the best keepers in the country in just a few years. So-much-so that the Real Madrid board see him as Iker Casillas’ natural replacement for both club and country.
Its worth noting that no agreement is in place at this time, and thats likely to be the case until at least the summer. However, it is worrying that David de Gea himself would be ‘keen’ on a move to Real Madrid, despite his ties with Atletico.
