Real Madrid are showing a genuine interest in signing Diogo Dalot from Man United this summer.
Diogo Dalot has turned into Manchester United’s first-choice right-back over the last year or so, with Erik ten Hag placing true belief in the Portugal international.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s nose has been pushed out as a result, with United looking to bring in a new right-sided defender in order to continue to push Dalot onto even better things.
Sadly, Dalot’s stay in Manchester isn’t a foregone conclusion at this stage. He has a winding down contract, with clubs sniffing around to bring in the ever-improving right-back.
The latest news in Dalot’s future comes from AS, who state that none other than Real Madrid are showing an interest in signing the key United star, who has a contract that expires in 2024.
First and foremost, it’s a testament to the player, who has come on leaps and bounds over the last year or so. At one point, it absolutely looked like he didn’t have what it takes to make it at United.
He’s now attracting interest from the biggest clubs in the world. He absolutely deserves all the credit for that.
The good news for United? You get the feeling he’s loving life in Manchester under Erik ten Hag, giving the Red Devils a decent shot at convincing him to renew.
With just under eighteen months left, United will feel comfortable that they’re under no real pressure to cash in this time around, with positive signs coming from Dalot both on and off the field.
You’d be hopeful that new terms will be agreed to before the end of this current season, though.
