Real Madrid want Pogba, could use Bale as part of swap deal: report

Real Madrid have already pulled off a deal to sign Eden Hazard this summer, as Los Blancos continue to show Manchester United how an elite level football club should be run.

Anyway, Madrid isn’t planning on stopping there. According to The Mirror in an exclusive, it is being claimed that the La Liga giants, fronted by Zinedine Zidane, want to add Paul Pogba to their ranks.

Apparently, if Madrid pulled off a deal to sign Pogba, having already acquired Hazard, it’d make Gareth Bale surplus to requirements.

The report states that the world-class Welshman, 29, could be used as part of any deal to sign Pogba – but only if an agreement can be reached in regards to his eye-watering £600,000-a-week contract.

The Mirror reckon that Pogba would cost around £130million to be prised from Old Trafford, and although no value has been placed on Bale, you’d imagine that Madrid would have to put up some cash plus the player to make the deal happen.

I think it’s fair to say that Pogba hasn’t completely settled into life back in Manchester so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him leave. Would I want Bale in as part of the deal? I’m not sure. The horrific injury record is a massive concern and the Wales international certainly wouldn’t come cheaply…
