Manchester United Football Club were dealt another major blow last night, as Matteo Darmian hobbled off in the 1-0 loss at home to Southampton. Louis van Gaal admitted that the Italian was spitting up blood, and could well have broken a rib or two.
Losing Darmian for a prolonged period would be fatal, especially when you consider the whole host of full-back injuries we have protruding through the squad at the moment, but thankfully, it doesn’t look too serious.
The 26-year old has today taken to Twitter to thank the Old Trafford faithful for their support in him, and then went on to admit that he is fine, and he’ll see us soon.
If he does indeed have broken ribs, he could well be out for a few weeks, but hopefully its nothing more serious than that. Get well soon, Matteo!
