Manchester United Football Club had a good transfer window, bringing in some players in key areas that certainly strengthened the squad. Louis van Gaal was clearly working on more deals, but unfortunately none of them came to fruition.
According to the Italian publication Gazetta Dello Sport, Manchester United bid £28million for Lazio’s young winger Felipe Anderson, but that bid was knocked back by the Serie A side.
The media outlet go on to say that the player himself was upset Lazio rejected the move as he desperately wanted to come to Old Trafford and further his career.
At the end of the day he is just 22 and has plenty of time to move on in the future I also feel that Manchester United need proven quality rather than talent at this point under Louis van Gaal, particularly if we’re to challenge for major honours.
