Manchester United are clearly looking to wrap up as many transfer deals as early as possible, which is an excellent tactic employed by Louis van Gaal and Edward Woodward. Depay is done, but the club clearly aren’t done there.
However today, United have been dealt somewhat of a transfer blow, as Edinson Cavani’s father has spoke out about a potential move – ruling out any sort of deal with Manchester United.
Luis Cavani [Edinson’s father] said: “We’re ready to discuss a deal with Juventus. We’re declining Manchester United.”
Personally I don’t think the Uruguayan is the type of player we need anyway. I’d like to see someone with a bit more pace come in through the Old Trafford doors, possibly Alexandre Lacazette, or even someone like Danny Ings who wouldn’t mind being a backup striker to Wayne Rooney.
Would signing Cavani be a good move? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
