Manchester United Football Club are clearly trying to make a massive statement in the transfer market, with Jose Mourinho hoping to add some real quality to the playing squad. One man the club have been linked with is Antoine Griezmann, and today he has fueled the fire somewhat.
In an interview, Griezmann added that he plays with long sleeves because he idolises Manchester United hero, David Beckham. The Frenchman who scored in the European Championships last night also praised the dress sense of the former United winger.
“I am a massive fan of his. On the pitch he had class and off it he was always very clean and well dressed,” Griezmann said.
“I remember the 2012 Olympics in London when he was in the boat with the Olympic torch and his hair didn’t move!”
“At first I wanted to have the same hairstyle, but then he had his hair long and for me it was too long to wait six months for mine to grow.”
“I’ve calmed down a bit with the dyes and such but I like to change it regularly.”
Griezmann added: “I play with long sleeves because that’s what he did and I also wear the No 7 as that was his number.”
If there is one man I would love Manchester United to sign this summer, it would be Antoine Griezmann. The 25-year-old has the perfect style of play to suit Old Trafford. He is fast, brilliant on the ball and has creativity in abundance.
However, Atletico Madrid would be extremely reluctant to let him go as you’d imagine. Although, Manchester United do have the funds to tempt them into parting with one of their most prized assets.
