Reported Mourinho transfer target name-drops Manchester United as potential landing spot

Manchester United Football Club have an absolute embarrassment of riches at their disposal when it comes to attacking talent, as Jose Mourinho continues to overhaul a squad that still needs work aplenty doing to it.

One name the Red Devils have been linked with is Justin Kluivert, a young man who is making a real name for himself with Ajax in the Eredivisie.

The 18-year-old, son of FC Barcelona icon Patrick, has admitted than in the future, he’d love a move to England, name-dropping Manchester United, amongst Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea – candidly leaving out our two biggest rivals (City & Liverpool).

“If you get a nice offer, you never know,” he told Helden, translated by Goal

“England appeals to me: Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea or Manchester United are nice clubs where I can see myself playing in a few years.”

With youngsters, it’s always tough to tell how they’ll develop and grow as players, particularly when making the jump from a good European league to an elite-level one. Just look at how Victor Lindelof is fairing right now…

Personally, I’d much prefer to see us linked with defenders and midfielders rather than forwards right now. We’re making some huge mistakes at the back and that needs to be addressed before Mourinho finds himself a little project in the form of Kluivert; a player who he seems to rate extremely highly.
