Manchester United Football Club have certainly struggled at times this season, with Louis van Gaal’s side playing some extremely dull football. Rio Ferdinand reckons our style of play is the main reason why the fans are unhappy with the Iron Tulip, and its hard to disagree with him.
“The biggest problem for Manchester United this season has been the style of football.” Rio Ferdinand began. “I think if Manchester United bring someone else in, it is a huge decision because if this doesn’t go right, it could be a long cycle.”
“Someone who has had success and manages teams like Mourinho, or will they go with someone who is already in the house like Giggs?” He added.
At the end of the day, its looking more and more likely that Manchester United will have a new manager come the summer, and at this point in time it looks as though it’l be Jose Mourinho.
Rio Ferdinand is right. If they make another appointment that turns out to be the wrong decision, we could well end up in this cycle of disappointment, and it could take us even longer get back to the top.
