David Moyes conducted his pre-match press conference today and he gave us the unwanted news that Robin van Persie will be sidelined for a month with a thigh problem. The 30-year old striker hasn’t had the best season under new management, and this is his third injury since August.
Its worrying that Van Persie is out again, and I fear that David Moyes rushed him back from injury so he could play in the Newcastle game.
David Moyes said:
“It is unfortunate, because if you look at our record with Wayne and Robin in the team it is very good and we have not had them for a period”
Robin van Persie has been the centre of media attentions at the moment, as some claimed that he’s handed in a transfer request last week. His injury will only make these rumours crop up again sadly…
