Romelu Lukaku has divided fans like no other since moving to Manchester United in 2017.
The star 26-year-old has always scored goals, but the consistency has been lacking – particularly in the big games. Now, it feels as though Ole Gunnar Solskjaer isn’t completely sold on what Lukaku can offer him.
According to The Sun in an exclusive, Lukaku has been told he can leave Man United this summer, after showdown talks with the club yesterday…
Lukaku had returned to Manchester after his holiday so he could speak to officials about his future, with United making it clear that they’re ready to sell the forward to Inter Milan – but only if the price is right.
Apparently, the Reds want a deal worth ‘just over’ the £75million that they paid to sign Lukaku from Everton two years ago. Edward Woodward will reject any offers lower than the said amount, although the club could be interested in a player-plus-cash deal should the right footballer become available.
That could mean there is some truth in the story we covered from Tancredi Palmeria a week or so ago, as Inter looked to include Ivan Perisic in a deal. Personally, though, if Inter were willing to give up Milan Skriniar, then United could be more than interested…
