Romelu Lukaku will not force his way out of Man United: report

Manchester United could have a mini-mutiny on their hands this summer, with several stars being touted for Old Trafford exits.

Amongst those is Romelu Lukaku, although the 26-year-old is seemingly going about his potential departure in the right way. According to The Sun, the Belgium forward will not ‘copy Pogba’ by trying to force his way out of Old Trafford during this window.

The Sun state that Inter Milan are ready to open talks with United as they look to agree a deal for the attacker, valued at £70million.

Lukaku and his agent, Federico Pastello, want to treat United with ‘more class’ than Pogba did – which is smart because if the move doesn’t happen at least the fans will remain on his side.

At the end of the day, there’s a right and a wrong way to go about it. I think we all know that Lukaku wants out, and at the right price I think United would be open to selling. However, it’s by no means a certainty at this point and the Red Devils forward likely knows that.

It’s now down to potential buyers (namely Inter) to come in with a suitable offer and see if a deal can be done while leaving United with ample time to find a replacement.

Honestly, I’m not bothered either way. Lukaku has scored 42 goals in 96 United appearances. The lad does know where the back of the net is, I just wish he’d work on that first touch…
