Manchester United may still be hunting the signing of the worlds most expensive player, Cristiano Ronaldo. According to various sources, new United assistant manager Steve Round, and former United player now coach Phil Neville, watched Ronaldo in an international friendly.
With Gareth Bale heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent weeks, this would only have unsettled Ronaldo more, especially with his world record fee being in danger of being broken.
To add more fuel to the fire, Manchester United’s Antonio Valencia has just given his #7 jersey up, meaning that Cristiano’s old number is currently available.
It is believed that the 28-year old isn’t completely happy in Madrid at the moment, and this just further adds to the speculation about his Real future.
Who knows if they were even watching Ronaldo? They could’ve been watching any other player out on the pitch. We’ll just have to wait and see…
