Roy Keane heaps praise on Cristiano Ronaldo after Portugal hat-trick

Roy Keane has heaped more praise on the greatest player I’ve ever seen; Cristiano Ronaldo.

Manchester United return in a few days, following a fortnight off due to international football.

In that time, our world-class stars have travelled to every corner of the globe in order to represent their country.

Amongst them, was Cristiano Ronaldo. No player had scored more international goals than our Portugual superstar before last night. He added three more to that tally by scoring a stunning hat-trick in a 5-0 win. Bruno Fernandes also bagged a couple in that game too!

It was another masterful performance from Ronnie, who lit up the stage once again. After the game, another former Red, Roy Keane, was full of praise for the United star whom he labelled a ‘genius.

Check out what the ex-United skipper had to say here:

Keane said live on ITV: “Will I say it again? The guy’s a genius.

“Absolutely amazing. What a player.”

It was typically short and sweet from Keano because that’s who he is. That said, praise from those who have played the game in the past is the best kind – and no doubt Ronaldo will appreciate it endlessly.

Folk in the media are just running out of superlatives to describe this guy. Ronaldo can do absolutely everything and I still can’t believe he’s back at Old Trafford playing his football.

Us fans must appreciate every single second of this. We’re literally watching greatness right before our very eyes and if we’re not careful, it’ll be over before we know it.

Keano is spot on. Ronaldo is amazing, a genius, and amongst the greatest players to ever play our game. I’ll never tire of watching him score goals for both club and country. It truly is a wonderful sight.

Is Cristiano Ronaldo the best to ever do it? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
