Roy Keane has pleaded for patience in regards to Jadon Sancho.
Manchester United made a mega-money move to bring in Jadon Sancho over the summer – a player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been chasing ever since he was appointed permanent manager.
On paper, Sancho always felt like a brilliant addition. However, the Englishman has struggled to acquit himself and nail down a position in the starting line-up due to one reason or another.
The £73million man has bags of talent and potential, while he’s obviously still young enough to turn things around and make his mark at Old Trafford.
Well, United have been urged to remain patient with the 21-year-old starlet who is struggling, by none other than Roy Keane…
Check out what Keano had to say on the form of Sancho here:
“He’ll be fine.” the former United skipper said live on Sky Sports, per the Daily Star.
Adding: “He’s been at the club what, two months. There’s been a lot of changes, new players coming to the club – give the kid a break.
“He’s still learning his trade, he’s still a young player, big expectations.
“He’s come to a new club where he’s certainly not going to be star man, he’ll be down the pecking order and he’s got to adapt to all that. Give him a chance.”
You can never keep a top talent down and it’s easy to forget Sancho has only just arrived. Obviously, his place in the team is by no means a guarantee due to the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo and the emergence of Mason Greenwood.
Sancho was amongst the best players in the Bundesliga and I don’t doubt he’ll get back to that form in the not too distant future.
It’s easy to forget that Sancho endured a tough summer, while his arrival at Old Trafford was pretty delayed and he had little-to-no pre-season. It’ll take him time to get acclimated to life here in England, while I still don’t believe the 21-year-old is fully fit at this point.
We have your back, Jadon.
