Man United winger, Sam Mather, has agreed to sign a new long-term deal at Old Trafford.
Manchester United Football Club have always excelled when it comes to giving young players their chances at the highest level after aiding their development as footballers.
The Red Devils are continuing that mantra under Erik ten Hag. Just look at Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho. Both of whom are tearing it up in the first-team.
As the Old Trafford side looksto keep the production line going, you have to keep these young guys happy. Today, it seems as though United have secured the future of exciting young winger, Sam Mather.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the player ‘has agreed’ to sign a new long-term contract with the Reds.
Apparently, Mather will sign on the dotted line, agreeing to a three-year deal with the option for a further year.

Mather’s 2023/24 season ended prematurely due to injury, which is a big blow for the young man. There were suggestions he could leave the club this summer, though that does not appear to be the case.
The Salford-born winger will now stay at the Theatre of Dreams, continuing to develop as a footballer, before hopefully being given a first-team opportunity. He’ll likely have to wait until next summer’s pre-season tour for that to happen.
There’s now a chance Mather heads out on loan at some point this season in order to play football regularly.
