Scholes And Amos Pen New United Deals

Today United duo Ben Amos and Paul Scholes put pen to paper on new contracts with the Red Devils. The promising young keeper Ben Amos signed a new three year deal which will keep him at the club until 2015, while Paul Scholes has agreed terms with the club until the end of the upcoming season.

The 22 year old keeper made his Premier League debut against Stoke City back in January, and featured in all our Carling Cup Ties this term, as well as earning a call-up to the England U21 side. Amos has two keepers ahead of him in the United pecking order, so would probably benefit from a loan spell to an English club next season, having already had successful loan spells at Molde, Peterborough and Oldham Athletic.

Paul Scholes also signed a one year contract extension too, this news was widely expected to happen sooner rather than later but provides us with an extra midfielder going into next season. The midfield maestro gave us a timely boost when he announced his return to the fold by dramatically being named as a substitute against Manchester City in the FA cup back in January, and since then he hasn’t looked back, making 17 appearances and finding the net 4 times.
