Scott McTominay played brilliantly for Scotland last night during their 2-2 draw with Austria.
Scotland may have found their future long-term captain, as Scott McTominay continues to go from strength-to-strength for club and country.
We’re watching the young man mature before our eyes. McTominay always does the job asked of him, wears his shirt with pride and puts his body on the line for any cause.
What I’ve found most impressive about the 24-year-old this season is that he’s discovered where the back of the net is, scoring some crucial goals for the Red Devils this season.
Although McTominay didn’t score last night for Scotland, he was named Man of the Match after bossing a tough game against a talented Austria side.
Check him out, all-smiles, with his award below:
I just love the way he speaks and conducts himself. We’re talking about a player who is mature beyond his years and he’ll be a positive influence on any dressing room in world football.
McTominay will do any job asked of him to an extremely high level and every squad needs players like him. Toughness, leadership, natural ability and a willingness to learn.
Now, McTominay is one of Scotland’s and United’s most important players. He’s become a mainstay in both starting line-ups and long may that continue.
I guess now it’s about seeing just how far he can go. If McTominay continues to make little tweaks and improvements in his game, we’re talking about someone who could be considered amongst the best in the world in his position.
Hopefully, McTominay enjoys the rest of the international break, comes back injury-free and propels United to a Europa League win.
