Scott McTominay could miss a few weeks of action, after suffering a knee hyperextension.
Manchester United have been hit with far too many injuries for it to be purely coincidental. Do we blame Erik ten Hag’s training methods? The winter World Cup? A combination of the two? Something totally different?
Either way, there are real concerns. United have suffered over 60 different injuries this season and they don’t seem to be letting up as we approach the business end of the term.
One of the more recent issue was Scott McTominay. He was not involved vs Liverpool due to suffering a knee hyperextension against Chelsea. Now, United source, @InsiderUtd1, has offered an update on the Scotland international. He believes the midfielder could be out for between 2-3 weeks.
McTominay has scored some vital goals for the Reds this season, while his impact off the bench has been undeniable. The fact he’ll be missing for at least the next few games is a real concern for the Reds.

The club are already light in many areas and the last thing the gaffer needs is another problem position. Thankfully, Kobbie Mainoo has been an ever-present in there since breaking into the team, while Mason Mount is also on the mend too.
Although McTominay is just a pure fringe player, I’d rather have him available than not. He’s capable of doing a variety of jobs for this Reds side and we’ll certainly feel his absence, particularly if we need a goal late on in games.
Hopefully, we see Scotty Mac before the end of the season.
